All this with guidance from a professional and qualified teacher.
The purpose of learning Norwegian every day is to give you the opportunity to practice the Norwegian language and feel confident when you use Norwegian outside the school.
Classes are held in Norwegian from the beginning, and therefore no English language skills are required. In this way, you are forced to use the language from day one and you will see a faster progression.
The course covers the entire contents of the book "Stein På Stein". You begin studies at level B1 based on the language levels described in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
Sessions are held every day from Monday to Thursday. Each session consists of 5 lesson hours, and the course consists of 100 lesson hours in total, meaning 20 sessions (about 5 weeks). Each lesson hour is 45 minutes.
|2 hours of 45 min||09:00 - 10:30|
|10:35 - 11:20|
|2 hours of 45 min||11:40 - 13:10|
During the regular sessions, you will focus on studying texts, vocabulary, and grammar. You will be gradually introduced to new topics and grammatical rules. You have one hour of practical Norwegian every day, focusing on one aspect of the learning process. Practical Norwegian lessons vary from day to day from conversation, self-study, project work to language lab work. Conversation sessions focus on pronunciation, and the teacher is present to correct and guide you through conversations. For self-study, students are split up into small groups to work independently with various tasks such as grammar, texts, etc. Project work focuses on working on various projects in small groups, in order to improve everyday Norwegian. Language lab lets you work individually in the school's language lab in order to improve your listening skills.
The use of books and other teaching materials on level B1 is obligatory. Books are not included in the cost of the course and may be purchased at our school or in most bookshops. Coursework also includes material other than what is provided in the textbook and associated workbook, which is provided by the instructor. You are given homework based on the textbook and workbook used for the course.
