17:00 - 19:15
The course includes individual and group work, discussions, listening exercises, and homework. The course focuses on Chapters 1 to 5 of the book "På Vei" (2012 edition). Participants of this course begin studies at level A1 based on language levels as described in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
Sessions are taught in Norwegian from day 1, so no English knowledge is required. This means that using the language is a must from day 1, which leads to a faster progression.
After completing the course, participants will be able to greet people and have very basic conversations involving everyday activities such as buying groceries and ordering in a café. They will be able to tell time, count, and ask basic questions using simple sentences.
Sessions are held twice a week on mondays and wednesdays, tuesdays and thursdays, or fridays and saturdays. Each session consists of 3 lesson hours for a total of 36 lesson hours. The course is about six weeks long with a total of 12 lessons. Each lesson hour is 45 minutes.
Use of textbooks and other teaching aids on the course are mandatory. Books are not included in the price and can be purchased at school or at most bookstores. Materials other than the text and work books will be used, but these will be provided by the teacher. Participants will be given homework based on the text and workbook that will be used on the course.
