Do you want to speak Norwegian accurately and fluently? Our courses give you the opportunity to put your speaking into practice with Norwegian teachers and international classmates. 

Alfaskolen offers a safe and inclusive learning environment to help you improve your Norwegian and achieve your ambitions.

This conversation course uses texts and situations that are representative of Norwegian culture and daily life. The teachers will review and explain vocabulary and provide linguistic tips for different situations. Topics vary on each course, so you can sign up based on the level you have completed and start at any time. 

Conversation Course A2-B1

Dive deeper into the Norwegian language with our enhanced Conversation Course, blending levels A2 and B1 for a comprehensive learning experience. This course is designed to refine your conversational skills through engaging discussions on a wide range of topics pertinent to life in Norway. From day-to-day tasks such as family life, shopping, and making appointments, to more complex themes that require a nuanced understanding of the language, our sessions cover it all.

Under the guidance of our experienced and qualified teachers, you will benefit from:

• Structured, Interactive Sessions: Aimed at boosting your pronunciation, vocabulary, and understanding of idioms.
• Focused Language Elements:
  • Nouns, pronouns, adjectives, determiners, verbs, and participles

Conversation Course B2 – C1

Advance your Norwegian to an expert level with our B2 – C1 Conversation Course. From technical discussions in your field to personal interests, you’ll learn to communicate with fluency and ease.

Choose what best fits you

Alfaskolen is an officially recognized provider of tuition base on the current curriculum for Norwegian language training for adult immigrants. Hours undertaken in our Norwegian courses are approved by UDI in applications for a permanent residence permit.

You can complete this level as a whole (16 meetings), or break it up into 2 sets of 8 meetings or 4 sets of 4 meetings. Each session consists of 2 lesson hours. Each lesson hour lasts 45 minutes.

You can choose to attend our meetings at our school in Oslo or via Zoom. Certified, experienced native or native like speaking teachers for one-on-one or group classes.

Course Certificate

At the end of the Conversation course, if you complete 80% or more of the course’s content, you will receive an official digital course certificate. 

Public holidays

Sessions that per regular schedule fall on a Norwegian public holiday, will be postponed to the next lesson day, unless otherwise discussed.
