Free Norwegian Writing and Conversation Course

80 hours free Norwegian training at level B1-B2 (IMDi)
Focus on improving your writing and conversation skills in Norwegian.
In collaboration with the Norwegian Directorate for Integration and Diversity (IMDi), Alfaskolen can offer a limited number of students 80 hours of free Norwegian language training for levels B1-B2.

This course consists of 80 lesson hours spread out over around seven weeks:
- Exam preparation (36 lesson hours)
Two sessions per week (mondays and wednesdays)
3 lesson hours of exam preparation course. - Conversation course and writing course (32 lesson hours + 12 lesson hours)
Two sessions per week (tuesdays and thursdays)
2 lesson hours of conversation course, followed by 1 lesson hours of writing course.

- Exam preparation: Review the material the material covered in levels A2, B1 or B2, and focus on the 4 main skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
- Writing course: Improve your ability to express complex ideas with clarity and precision, preparing for real-world applications and advanced examinations.
- Conversation course: Sharpen your pronunciation, expand your vocabulary, and understand cultural nuances to communicate effectively in both personal and professional settings.
The course can be taken at level A2-B1 or B1-B2.
Choose between in-person classes (Kongens gate 15) or online sessions.
Please bring a computer or tablet to the in-person sessions.
Who is qualified?
This offer has limited capacity. Because of this, there are certain requirements you must meet in order to be eligible:
- You have completed level A2 and started B1 or you have completed B1 (this will be confirmed with a placement test that all students will need to take).
- You are living in Norway and want to improve your Norwegian.
- You are not currently participating in free Norwegian training sponsored by the Norwegian government (Introduction program, etc.).
NB! You cannot participate in several free courses on behalf of IMDi with other private providers at the same time.

NB! Due to a high number of responses and limited number of spaces, the qualification form has been closed. It may be reopened at a later date, as new courses are planned for the summer.
Wait for an invitation to take a placement test at Alfaskolen or online. – Placement tests are mandatory before starting a free course!
Courses will be offered at daytime and evening, classroom-based (at Kongens gate 15) or online.
