In collaboration with the Norwegian Directorate for Integration and Diversity (IMDi), Alfaskolen can offer a limited number of students 80 hours of free Norwegian language training for levels B1-B2.
The interest form has been closed for 2024.
Who is qualified?
This offer has limited capacity. Because of this, there are certain requirements you must meet in order to be eligible:
- You have completed levels A1-A2 and pass the placement test (all students will need to take a placement test)
- You are living in Norway and want to improve your Norwegian.
- You are not currently participating in free Norwegian training sponsored by the Norwegian government (Introduction program, etc.).
NB! You cannot participate in several free courses on behalf of IMDi with other private providers at the same time.
How do I apply?
- Fill out the expression of interest form here. (Closed for 2024!)
- Wait for an invitation to take a placement test at Alfaskolen or online. – Placement tests are mandatory before starting a free course!
- Please note that books are not included in the offer. However, online courses do not use books, as you will have acess to a digitial resource, which is included in the offer.
- Courses will be offered at daytime, online (per zoom).
NB!
You cannot participate in several free courses on behalf of IMDi with other private providers at the same time.
If you have already taken a free course at Alfaskolen in 2024, you will not be offered a spot on this course.
If you have taken a spot on a free course in 2024, but did not attend the course or give the administration a notice of withdrawal, you will be barred from attending our free courses for 2025 and 2026.
